¶ What is a Lore Item?
We all love commemorating special occasions with trophies and souvenirs. A lore item is exactly that - a Minecraft item that has special lore added to it in order to celebrate something.

¶ How do you use Lore Items?
Lore items are great for decorating and for displaying your achievements. Who doesn't like a shiny trophy above their couch? But they do have a use besides being pretty. Some guilds may require a certain number of unique lore items for rankups. Artists display their lore items in art galleries and Scavengers proudly remind everyone of their achievements. Some buildings also must have lore items displayed in one way or another, such as trophy tooms, for example

¶ How can you get Lore Items?
Anyone can obtain lore items, regardless of their rank or guild affiliation. Lore items are something special for all players to enjoy and display. They can be obtained in a variety of ways listed below.
¶ Event Participation
Rewards for events are advertised in the server discord and often include lore items just for participating!
Events are the the easiest way to get lore items. Large events, such as Summer Event or Halloween Event usually have many opportunities to gain them. Lore items are found in event crates, can be purchased in limited-time event stores, and distributed by staff at our holiday island events.

Smaller events, such as painting or building competitions, races, spleef, and others also produce many lore items. Depending on the event, lore items may be awarded to the winner, the top 3, or even to every participant.

¶ Tokens of Affection
Vestria's staff has a lot of affection for the server's players, and we are always happy to share it. Redeem your Token with a special voucher, which you can get from vote rewards, event rewards, or from other players.

¶ Voting
Voting for Vestria gives you a lot of cool rewards! Voting can earn you special codes that include rotating rewards each month depending on your vote total.

¶ Rankup
Ranks of all guilds have a personalized achievement reward in the form of a lore item.

¶ Reporting Bugs
Everyone who finds and reports a significant bug will receive a cool Bug Smasher lore item. Bugs can be reported using our bug report form linked here.

¶ Celebrating your birthday
Would you like us to help you celebrate your birthday? Players who share their birthday with us will receive a special birthday code, which includes a birthday lore item, as well as a shoutout on our discord!

¶ Buying from other players
If you want a particular item that is not in circulation anymore, you might have to negotiate with others. Or maybe you want to rankup and are missing a lore item and just don't want to wait for an event to get one.
Either way, you can just buy them from others.
Be careful when buying items from others - you cannot use lore items with another player's name in it for your own rank ups.
¶ Defeating one of the dungeon bosses
If you collect 2 tokens and defeat a dungeon boss, you will get a cool lore item. Additionally, the dungeon shops have purchaseable lore items.
¶ Making your own
With a Custom Lore Voucher, you can add your own lore to an item. You choose the name, the colors, and the lore on the item yourself, as long as it does not violate server rules.
Please note, these lore items cannot be used for rankups.

¶ How to make a Custom Lore Item
If you have a Custom Lore Voucher, you can create your own lore item to add to your collection.
Follow these simple steps:
- Choose the item to which you want to add the lore. You must give staff the item, so choose somehting that you already own.
- Figure out the lore itself. It should consist of two parts: the name of the item, and the text underneath it. In the example above,
Fun nameis the name, andyour lore goes hereis the lore. - Choose your colors. You can make all sorts of crazy colors! You can use the minecraft chat colors (Tip: do
/colorsin-game to see the codes for those), hex colors or gradients.
For players new to making lore, we recommend the websitergb.birdflop.comto create cool hex color gradients. You can input your text, choose the colors, and toggle itallics, bold, or strike through. It will give you the resulting text automatically, you just need to copy and paste it. - Make a ticket. Say what item you want, what name and lore you want, and leave the voucher and the item in your inventory.

Remember, If you want your lore to be a hex gradient it will take up a lot of space! It might not all fit in a ticket. Then a staff memeber that clams your ticket might ask you to send the lore via direct message.
This also means that the lore is limited by what fits in the minecraft chatbox.
If the name is too long, get a shorter name; if the lore is too long, you need to break it up into several lines. Don't forget that you need to consider the commands to add the lore, too:/lore rename [name]and/lore add [your lore].

¶ Which Lore Items Can be Used to Rankup?
While most of the lore items in your collection can be counted towards the relevant rankup requirements, some are just for personal use. All official server lore items can be used and contain a Vestria XXXX tag at the bottom, where XXXX stand for the current season's years.

- Any official event lore items
- Tokens of Affection
- Vote rewards
- Bugsmasher
- Birthday items
- Your Rankup Trophies
- Staff Holiday items
- Boss Lore items
¶ Examples of items, which cannot count towards your rankup goal:
- Lore items made with a custom lore voucher
- Lore items with other players', such as their rank up trophies
