Crafting Custom Items involves four main steps:
Custom items drop randomly from naturally spawned hostile mobs. However, many players have shops to sell these items, and they frequently find their way into auctions. Acquire several copies of an item, and proceed to the deconstruction step!
Custom Items can also be obtained in Vestria's many dungeons. Scavenger dungeons' have a higher drop chance relative to their tier than both the Towny Worlds and Public Dungeons. Only members of the Scavenger Guild are able to access these, and they are able to access more difficult dungeons with higher drop chances as they rank up in their guild.
Sometimes, boss mobs may spawn that glow. These mobs have a higher chance of dropping a custom item, so be sure to watch out for these. Be warned, these mobs have more health and are harder to kill.
Deconstructing is the process by which Custom Items are consumed and transformed into crafting components. In order to deconstruct items, an appropriate guild rank in the Blacksmith or Mage guild is required.
The items that can be deconstructed by Mages and Blacksmiths are shown below:
Mage | | | Blacksmith |
---|---|---|
Bows | | | Swords |
Crossbows | | | Pickaxes |
Tridents | | | Shovels |
Fishing Rods | | | Axes |
Tridents | | | Battleaxes |
Elytras | | | Chestplates |
Hoes | | | Leggings |
Helmets | | | |

After verifying that an appropriate guild rank has been attained, items can be deconstructed by right clicking an emerald block with the item in your hand.
Upon deconstruction, the item will be consumed, and relic fragments will be returned. (These can be seen in the reference images at the bottom of this page)
Depending on whether the item you deconstruct is Mythic, Arcane, or Vestrian tier, a different number of relic fragments will be obtained. The breakdown is seen below.
Tier of Item | Number of Relic Fragments |
---|---|
Mythic | 1 Relic Fragment |
Arcane | 1 Relic Fragment, 35% chance for 1 additional Relic Fragment |
Vestrian | 2 Relic Fragments |
After deconstructing items, relic fragments are used to craft relics, which can be redeemed for the ability to craft a custom item.
To craft relics, an appropriate number of relic fragments must be obtained. Depending on the tier of item you are wanting to craft, the relic requires a different number of relic fragments. Relic fragments are position-specific, and item-specific! This means you can find duplicate fragments from deconstructing 2 of the same item. To craft relics, the number and pattern of relic fragments are shown below.
Tier | Number of Relic Fragments | Shape of Crafting Recipe |
---|---|---|
Mythic | 2 | Left & Right (Middle Left, Middle Middle) |
Arcane | 5 | Plus (Top Middle, Full Middle Row, Bottom Middle) |
Vestrian | 9 | Full Crafting Table |
Note: Relic Fragments are Position-Specific and Item-Specific. This means that in order to craft, for example, a Mythic Pickaxe called "Mythaxe," you will need to deconstruct at least 2 Mythaxes. Assuming you obtain a ML (middle left) and MM (middle middle) fragment, you would craft these two fragments together to obtain the Mythaxe relic.
Once you obtain a Relic for an item, you can redeem it by right clicking with it in your hand. This will give you the ability to craft the item with it's crafting recipe. Additionally, you will be given a Casting, which is a decorative item that you can display to show off the items you're able to craft.
Once you have obtained a relic and redeemed it for its casting, you will be able to craft that item! To find its crafting recipe, proceed to the Custom Item Crafting Recipe Wiki Page and locate the recipe for your item.
In each and every crafting recipe is a Crafting Core, which only depends on the Tier of the item you're trying to craft. There is one crafting core for Mythic items, one for Arcane items, and one for Vestrian items.
Crafted Variants of Custom Items are noted on the item by a pickaxe icon. (This can be seen in the reference images at the bottom of this page.)
Crafted Custom Items will also have flare with the name of who constructed them
